Dr. Shi Lei from the International Bamboo and Rattan Center shared the theme of "Theory and Practice of Bamboo Forest Carbon Footprint". He first made a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign carbon markets. At present, my country‘s carbon trading market still has a large room for improvement compared with foreign countries. At the same time, among the domestic certification and verification agencies, the carbon footprint and carbon verification of the forestry manufacturing industry are still blank. He enumerated the practice of bamboo in carbon sequestration and increased sequestration, and developed and promulgated two industry standards for carbon measurement of bamboo forests and bamboo products. The carbon sink value of bamboo industry has a significant impact, fully improving the carbon sink capacity of bamboo forests.
Wu Shengfu, general manager of Beijing Green Forest Certification Co., Ltd. and secretary general of the National Carbon Footprint Innovation Alliance (in preparation), gave a detailed introduction to the current work of the Carbon Footprint National Innovation Alliance.
